Old Fashion Pound Cake
Submitted by Robin Gaines
-
2 sticks butter (softened)
-
2 sticks margarine (softened)
-
1 (8 ounce package) Philadelphia Cream Cheese (softened)
-
3 cups Sugar
-
3 cups Swan Down Cake Flour
-
6 eggs
-
3 tsp. Flavor of choice
Instructions:
Combine the first three (3) ingredients, let sit until room temperature and soft, add all sugar, add 1 cup flour and two eggs until gone. Add flavor of choice or combination of several flavors. I like to use almond and vanilla. After all ingredients are combined well, transfer into a cooking pan that has been sprayed with Baker`s Joy or Pam Baking spray. Place in a cold oven. BAKE on 300° for 1 1/2 hours or until golden brown.
